Join us for a fantastical, funny, moving and ballet-free deconstruction of this holiday classic. Bring your whole family along as Clara journeys to save her family from the Rat King with the help of a gift from her beloved Uncle Drosselmeyer – a Nutcracker.

In February of 2010, Renegade teamed with The House Theater of Chicago to introduce Minnesota to The Sparrow, a production hailed as “a dazzling theatrical experience unlike anything seen in town in recent years” by the Duluth News Tribune. Now the two theaters that brought you The Sparrow reunite to offer a heartwarming holiday story that weaves together riveting dialogue, astonishing puppetry, beautiful original songs and spellbinding spectacle to tell a deeply moving story of magic and mystery.

“The best holiday theater can bring your family closer together. And there is no show more fervent or successful in that most worthy of seasonal aims than the House Theatre of Chicago’s warm, kind, moving, and wholly original version of ‘The Nutcracker.’” – Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune
