We’re one day away from the opening night of the final production of our 2011 season, Tracy Letts’ BUG. And here are some reasons you should head on down to the Teatro Zuccone tomorrow night at 8pm:

  1. It’s PAY WHAT YOU CAN for students. Show your ID and offer whatever you can to see the show.
  2. Before or after the show you can head across the lobby to the Zeitgeist Cafe and order an “Aphid,” a $5 drink special in honor of BUG.
  3. After the show, save your playbill because it will get you 10% off your meal at the Zeitgeist Cafe during the 3-week run of the show.
  4. It’s the Northland premiere of this white-knuckle thriller by Pulitzer Prize-winner Tracy Letts. And it’s the perfect thing if you didn’t get enough scares this Halloween.
  5. The cast and crew have pulled out all the stops to give you a terrifyingly good time. And if you need further proof, check out these production photos by Renegade staff photographer Andy Miller and our new trailer directed by Renegade film director Matt Helbacka!

Goss (Lee Gundersheimer) tells Peter (Cory Anderson) how things are, while Agnes (Molly O’Neill) cowers in the corner.

In the middle of the night, the first bug arrives.

Peter (Cory Anderson) and Agnes (Molly O’Neill) struggle to convince R.C. (Erin McConnell) that the bugs are real.

Agnes (Molly O’Neill) and Peter (Cory Anderson) find the egg sack.

We Are Resolved

Happy New Year, blog readers! We hope your 2011 is off to a fantastic start and that your hangover is finally gone.

As is the custom, we’ve been reflecting on the year that was and thinking about the year to come, and we’ve decided to make some New Year’s Resolutions. 2010 was a good one for Renegade (actually, it was a great one), but we think we can make 2011 even better. So in 2011 Renegade Theater Company resolves to:

  1. Refresh Improv with new players, new games and new styles.
  2. Set off film-grade special effects 10 feet from your face.
  3. Harness the power of Skype for a special night of Improv.
  4. Make you itch.
  5. Bring back these guys.
  6. Deprive ourselves of sleep.
  7. Make Sarah Diener say some really mean things.
  8. Do the Juggernaut.
  9. Let Julie Ahasay do what she does so very well.
  10. Fit a cast and crew of 30 on the Teatro stage.
