The Lieutenant of Inishmore is up, running and an absolute success – but we couldn’t have done it on our own. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers that put in a lot of time and effort into the building of this show. There are far too many to thank everyone individually, but we consider each and every one of you a part of the company.
This post, however, is dedicated to the businesses that chipped in with supplies to make our set come to life. Below are the Top 3 All-Stars:
AJ Matthews and WLSSD: AJ worked her magic to make sure our floor could be almost completely covered in mulch – 3 cubic yards worth! That’s a full-sized pickup truck filled well past its walls. Thank you to AJ for coordinating an off-season pick-up for Renegade at the Composting and Yard Waste facility.
Sean Bradley and Floor to Ceiling: Any piece of the floor that’s not covered in mulch is covered in linoleum provided by Sean. Cleaning up stage blood is never an easy or a fun task (ask our Gore Girls!), but the linoleum cleans up so well that even Dexter Morgan would be proud. Thanks to Sean for letting us raid his store!
Adam Field and Diamond Vogel Paint: We use a lot of paint. If you were to sand the floors of our stage, you would find layer after layer of paint, chronicling YEARS of productions. Thanks to Adam, we were able to recycle a few mis-tinted cans of paint to paint our walls. Come to the show to experience our beautifully ugly walls in person – they’re a sight!
Thanks to people like AJ, Sean, and Adam, we can spend more of our budget on our amazing talent, giving them one more reason to stay in Duluth. If you or your business has extra building supplies, furniture, clothing, or tools that you’re looking to get rid of, get in touch with us!
