The original production won 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Book, Score and Lyrics.  A 2006 revival earned Best Revival of a Musical.  Over three decades the show has won 8 Drama Desk Awards and 3 Oliver Awards.  It is considered by many to have inaugurated the modern era of musical theatre, and is a masterpiece by one of the finest composers in the world.  Renegade is proud to present this hysterically funny, powerfully moving and soul-stirringly beautiful tale of one man’s discovery that “alone is alone – not alive.”
