REASONS TO BE PRETTY

coming_soonWritten by Neil LaBute

Directed by Nikki Swoboda
Northland Premiere

Greg truly adores his girlfriend, Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he casually mentions them, all hell breaks loose. Greg’s best buddy, Kent, and Kent’s wife, Carly, have problems of their own. As these relationships crumble, the four friends are forced to confront a sea of deceit, infidelity and betrayed trust in their journey to answer that oh-so-American question: How much is pretty worth?

America’s obsession with physical beauty is confronted headlong in this brutal and exhilarating work, which was nominated for 3 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Play. Now, Neil LaBute’s bristling new comic drama comes to Renegade.
